Privacy policy

Cursify is a service operated by Summertech Studio (“we”). This policy explains what data we use, why, and what you can ask us for.

Data we receive

• Access request: your name, email, WhatsApp and what you want to teach, to review your request and write to you by email or WhatsApp.
• Account: your email, sign-in codes (stored hashed, they expire in 10 minutes) and your sessions (stored hashed). Also your approximate country based on your connection, your language and the ad or link that brought you (UTM parameters and referring page).
• Your courses: the topic and details you type, and the content that is generated and that you edit (outline, readings, scripts, slides and quizzes).
• AI usage: for each generation we keep which step it was, how long it took and what it cost, plus the 👍/👎 ratings you give us. Your course text is not kept there.
• Site usage: anonymous visit statistics (Vercel Web Analytics, no tracking cookies). We keep one cookie with the language you choose and one to keep you signed in.

Why we use it

To give you access, generate and keep your courses, show the courses you publish, prevent abuse (daily course limit), improve the quality of what we generate and email you about the service. We don't sell your data or send third-party advertising.

Who it's shared with

The providers that run the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email) and Anthropic (the AI that writes the content, which processes it under its terms for paid services). When you publish a course, anyone with the link can see it.

Your rights

You can delete your courses at any time in the app. You can also ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or close your account, by writing to summertechstudio@gmail.com.

Language

We show the site in Spanish or English based on your country (sent by our hosting provider, without asking for your location) or your browser's language, and remember your choice in a cookie.
